The Delhi leg of ongoing Paryatan Parv 2019 has concluded on Sunday. The entire Rajpath lawns came alive during the 5-day festival which witnessed a colourful array of dance, music and cultural performances from various parts of the country.
Paryatan Parv was organised to propagate the message of ‘Dekho Apna Desh’, with the objective to encourage Indians to visit various tourist destinations of the country and also to spread the message of ‘Tourism for All’. This year the Paryatan Parv is dedicated to the commemoration of 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi.

The nationwide Paryatan Parv 2019 will continue till 13th October.
In the festival, famous recipes from all over the states of India were put up. A live food kitchen demonstrated some of the key traditional recipes from the states. In the backdrop of the festival of Navratri, around 18 ‘Satvik Food’ stalls were set up to cater to the preferences of all types of visitors. Crafts Bazaar was also set up with handicrafts.
Recently, the government has launched the audio guide facility ‘Odigos’ was launched. The audio will connect 12 sites of India (including Iconic Sites). With Audio Odigos, tourists will now enjoy a more enriching experience and take back historical insights into the Indian culture and heritage. The Audio Odigos app contains an inbuilt map of the site for smooth navigation during the tour. Listeners will be offered various versions of history like Synopsis, Detailed History and Podcasts. The audio can be chosen in their preferred language & version of history. Audio Odigos is now available for download on all Android and iOS supported mobile phones.
