The Ministry of Tourism is celebrating Paryatan Parv in the national capital with an aim to promote tourism in the country. It will continue till 13 October. The tourism festival aims to propagate the message of Dekho Apna Desh to encourage people to visit tourist destinations of the country.
On the second day of nationwide “Paryatan Parv 2019” the audio guide facility ‘Odigos’ was launched. The audio will connect 12 sites of India (including Iconic Sites).
Speaking on the occasion, Yogendra Tripathi said that this is the 3rd edition of Paryatan Parv and we are getting a good response from the general public. We are expecting more than 1 lakh footfalls during the weekend, he added. He also said that in the line of vision of Prime Minister we are not using single-use plastic in Paryatan Parv arrangements.
Audio guide odigo offers verified content, with visuals and voice-over support to the tourists. With Audio Odigos, tourists will now enjoy a more enriching experience and take back historical insights into the Indian culture and heritage. The Audio Odigos app contains an inbuilt map of the site for smooth navigation during the tour. Listeners will be offered various versions of history like Synopsis, Detailed History and Podcasts. The audio can be chosen in their preferred language & version of history. Audio Odigos is now available for download on all Android and iOS supported mobile phones.
Audio Guide facility Odigos can be used in 12 sites that includes Amer Fort, Rajasthan, Chandni Chowk, Red Fort, Purana Quila, Humayun’s tomb, Delhi, Fatehpur Sikri, Taj Mahal, Uttar Pradesh, Somnath and Dholavira, Gujarat, Khajuraho, Madhya pradesh, Mahabalipuram, Tamilnadu and Mahabodhi Temple, Bihar.
